What’s the reason for giving red roses? Red roses are considered the quintessential symbol of love, but this is not the reason why on Valentine’s Day’s people are used to buy and give red roses. According to the legend, Saint Valentine saw two young lovers that were arguing. He decided to cut off a red rose from his garden and gave it to them, asking them to make peace. The two lovers had to tighten the rose together in order to keep their love alive.
What about roses’ colors? You’re not obliged to give red roses. If you want your relationship to become more intimate, orange will be the appropriate. If your relationship has just begun, you can go for a bouquet of white or red and white roses. Finally, if you want to propose, you just have to buy two entwined red roses.
Why are roses always gifted in an odd number? According to the tradition, an even number of flowers is used only during sad occasions like funerals. On the contrary, odd numbers are considered to bring happiness and luck during a special occasion.
